As it has been such a difficult year for families, especially due to Covid-19, everyone at Rugby Self Store wanted to do our part for the community and so we have donated to the Rugby Foodbank. It was great to see our team getting so involved.

Rugby Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people of Rugby who are referred to us in crisis.

It is a project founded by local churches and community groups in Rugby, all working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

Our community's Foodbank is supported by The Trussell Trust and is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks who are always working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Typical food parcels for foodbanks can consist of soup, pasta, rice, tinned beans, tinned vegetables, tea or coffee and more.

You might not think it, but a simple box of food can really make a big difference. The efforts of Foodbanks help prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

If you haven't made a Christmas donation to Rugby Foodbank yet and would like to, there is still time to drop it off before December 13 so volunteers can get them packed and sent out.
